Micaiah Hodge finished with 17 points and Mandy Southard added 14 points and five rebounds as the Tigers knocked out the Eagles to advance to the fifth-place game.

Entiat led by as many as 11, coming with less than 10 seconds remaining on a pair of free throws by Mariza Diaz that gave her 12 for the game.

The Eagles were led by 14 points and nine rebounds from Melanie Laete, but shot just 32.6 percent from the floor and turned it over 19 times, allowing Entiat to score 11 points off miscues.

Melanie Shank scored 24 points with seven rebounds and the Crusaders erased a two-point halftime deficit with an 18-2 edge in the third quarter, beating the Irish to move on to the fifth-place game.

The Crusaders outscored DeSales 33-13 after the half.

Tacoma Baptist shot 58.3 percent from the field in the second half, while holding the Irish to 4 of 23 from the floor. A big part of keeping the Irish under wraps after the break was curbing the productivity of Caitlin Duncan, who had 17 in the first two quarters, but tallied just five from that point on.

Kelsey Moos led with 16 points and nine rebounds as the Indians eliminated the Navigators.

Moos had 10 by the end of the first half, and Reardan held the Navigators scoreless in the second quarter. The scoring drought lasted more than 11 minutes, spanning parts of the first and third quarters as well.

The Indians scored 14 points off 20 turnovers.

Mariah Clements had 16 points and Shelby Scott and Ryliegh Ferrill combined to go 13 of 14 from the free-throw line, finishing with 13 points apiece as the Mountain Lions eliminated the Mules.

Halie Boyce led all scorers with 24 points for Wahkiakum and helped spur a rally that turned a 10-point first half deficit into two with a minute remaining. But the Lions hit four free throws to keep it a two-possession game.

It wasn’t always pretty on offense, but the defense was stellar and the Lightning earned a berth in the championship game for the fourth time in five seasons with a win over the Tigers.

Napavine pushed a six-point halftime lead to 30-20 at the end of three quarters. An early surge put it at 13 but the Lightning didn’t have a field goal for the final 4:59. The Tigers couldn’t take advantage, getting just one field goal in the final 4:12.

The Bulldogs overcame a cold field-goal shooting percentage (22.2) by making 13 of 19 free throws in the fourth quarter, and rode the sturdy shoulders of Kayla Johnson, who scored 24 points.

The Colfax defense did the job as Toutle Lake shot just 29 percent and had 25 turnovers.

The Bulldogs didn’t take the lead for good until freshman Ameli Bruya scored on a putback with 2:23 remaining. Before that the Bulldogs only led for a brief period in the first quarter and 26-25 in the opening moments of the third quarter, when Johnson buried a 3-pointer.
