All clear at Sea-Tac Airport after bomb scare

Associated Press
SEATAC — A bomb scare at Sea-Tac Airport interrupted operations at Concourse A for about two hours Thursday morning, forced the evacuation of several hundred passengers and delayed four flights. Port of Seattle spokeswoman Terri-Ann Betancourt says a bomb squad gave the all-clear about 7:30 a.m., after determining that a piece of suspicious luggage contained a battery charger and electronics. The Transportation Security Administration says the bag was smoking in the Delta Airlines checked baggage room. Spokesman Greg Soule says the area was evacuated out of an abundance of caution. Two American and two Delta flights were delayed. Those passengers and others in the concourse were evacuated to other parts of the airport.
