Mild spring weather coming this week

Clouds today, but sun is on the way Tuesday

A low-pressure system is moving across the Inland Northwest today, but it may be the last in a string of spring storms dating back to the middle of April. Forecasters said they expect cloudy skies today and a 20 percent chance of showers with highs near 60 degrees in Spokane and Coeur d’Alene. The highest risk of rain will be to the south of Spokane near the Oregon border. After today’s weather system passes through the region there is a chance of improving weather through the week with highs reaching the upper 60s and lower 70s by Wednesday through Friday. Lows also will be in the increase to the middle 40s by Wednesday night. Normal temperatures for today are 65 for a high and 41 for a low. The high on Sunday was 65. At 7 a.m., it was 42 at Spokane International Airport, 44 in downtown Spokane, 39 in Coeur d’Alene, 42 in Deer Park and 46 in Pullman.
