Man stabbed in morning confrontation; assailant at large

One of three men walking away from a party near Standard Street and Cozza Avenue this morning was stabbed by another man who may have known him, Spokane police said. The victim didn’t realize he was stabbed until after the confrontation ended. He was taken to a local hospital for treatment, but his wounds were not life-threatening. Officers searched the area, but were not able to find the assailant described as black, six feet tall and wearing a black hooded sweatshirt and red bandana. Anyone with information about the crime is asked to call Crime Check at (509) 456-2233.
