Undoing well-liked couplet isn’t worth the cost

After reading Dr. Rudy’s reasons for returning the Sprague/Appleway couplet back to two-way traffic it has set me to wondering just how out of touch with reality he is.

To spend millions of dollars of taxpayer money to save 45 seconds of wait time of traffic exiting the freeway and 25 seconds on Sprague just does not compute for the majority of Spokane Valley citizens. It’s time for these people to accept the couplet.

With today’s economy it makes no sense to put us in debt for something that most people like the way it is. It’s just not an option to satisfy the few. Instead of the losers pushing their own agenda, they need to join our elected City Council for the good of the majority of our citizens.
