Seahawks wrapping up preseason, roster

The preseason game that is least appealing to the average football fan is also the most important to the handful of players still on the bubble when it comes to making the team. Tonight in Oakland (7 p.m., Fox 28), the Seahawks’ starters will enjoy an easy day, then rest for most of the game with the season opener rapidly approaching. The reserves, meanwhile, will do the heavy lifting against the Raiders in both teams’ final preseason game. And with Saturday being the deadline for NFL teams to trim their rosters from 75 to 53, those not already comfortable with their place in the team’s pecking order will be playing to show coach Pete Carroll (pictured) that they belong on the team.
