Seattle-bound jet lands in Billings after engine fails
BILLINGS, Mont. — The Federal Aviation Administration says a United Airlines flight from Chicago to Seattle has made an emergency landing in Montana after one of its two engines failed.
FAA spokesman Mike Fergus says the Boeing 757 landed without incident in Billings today at 11:29 a.m. MDT.
It was not immediately clear how many people were on board United Airlines Flight 635.
Fergus says the Boeing 757 can fly long distances with one engine and there was not any immediate danger to the passengers and crew.
United Airlines did not immediately return a call for comment this afternoon.
