Salem-Keizer rallies to take another win from Spokane Indians

SALEM, Ore. – Salem-Keizer greeted Spokane reliever David Perez with a two-run seventh inning to go ahead and the Volcanoes scored their second straight victory, 7-4, over the Indians on Thursday night in a Northwest League baseball game.

The Indians had taken a 4-3 lead in the fourth inning after loading the bases with no outs, scoring a pair of runs on RBI groundouts.

Spokane scored its other two runs in the third inning on Rougned Odor’s RBI double and a wild pitch.

Perez (1-4) gave up a single and walk to open the S-K seventh and, with the help of three steals in the inning, the Volcanoes took the lead with a groundout and a sacrifice fly. Salem-Keizer stole six bases in the game.

The Volcanoes added the final two runs in the eighth against Kyle Hendricks, whose wild pitch on a third strike for what would have been the second out eventually allowed S-K to come up with the insurance runs.

Catcher Yefry Castillo led the indians with two hits to increase his average to .317.
