Pullman man stabbed following argument

Staff reports
A Pullman man went to the hospital with stab wounds after an argument with his girlfriend early this morning, police said. Pullman police were called to the 22-year-old man’s home on the 400 block of Howard Street around 1:24 a.m. The man was stabbed in the chest, but his injuries were not life-threatening, said Pullman police Sgt. Dan Dornes. Madison C. Heersink, 20, of Pullman, was booked into Whitman County Jail on suspicion of domestic violence assault and first-degree burglary, Dornes said. The stabbing occurred during a fight in which Heersink allegedly forced her way into the house, Dornes said. The man’s name was not released.
