Idaho Vandals outlook

RECORD: 12-9 overall, 5-4 WAC

COMING UP: Tonight vs. San Jose State, 7; Saturday vs. Hawaii, 7

OUTLOOK: The first two games of this three-game home stretch are critical for the Vandals, considering they host No. 22 Utah State on Wednesday and have four straight on the road after that. “This is a big week for us,” Vandals coach Don Verlin said. “This is as big as they get.” Idaho, after three consecutive losses, has slid from second place in the Western Athletic Conference to tied for fourth. The top four teams get first-round byes in the WAC tournament, so seeding is crucial. SJSU (10-10, 2-7) has two of the conference’s top three scorers in Adrian Oliver (23.7 ppg) and Justin Graham (15.7 ppg).
