Children’s studies degree offered online

Eastern Washington University’s Bachelor of Arts in children’s studies is now available online, through a Web-based distance learning option. The program is designed to allow people seeking a degree or retraining to complete their major online over the course of two years and they can enter during any quarter.

Articulation agreements with community colleges across the state will allow students pursuing this field to easily transfer to EWU Children’s Studies Program. Those interested in enrolling for the fall 2011 quarter will need to apply by Feb. 15. Students who are eligible for financial aid will be able to use it, if they are enrolled either full or part-time.

The online degree offers an opportunity for continued professional development. Those who enroll will have the benefit of perspectives from varied disciplines, as well as research opportunities with field practitioners, internships and career counseling.

The Children’s Studies degree supports multiple career paths that involve working with children in the areas of health care, legal fields, social work and many other professional areas in their home community

For more information on how to apply before Feb. 15, visit www.ewu.edu/childrensstudies, e-mail childrensstudies@ewu.edu or call (509) 359-6813.
