Canister left on Sprague not a bomb

Spokane police have determined that a metal canister left on Sprague Avenue between Washington and Browne streets is not a bomb. Officers used the bomb squad’s robot to examine the canister. Sprague Avenue in that area has been closed while police investigated the suspicious item.
