Redmon, Vandersloot lead high-scoring Gonzaga women past Saint Mary’s

Katelan Redmon and Courtney Vandersloot combined for 47 points Thursday and Gonzaga (18-4, 6-0 West Coast Conference) hit the century mark for the fifth time this season during a 106-77 win over host Saint Mary’s at Moraga, Calif.

Vandersloot, who added 13 assists, and Redmon were a combined 19 of 37 from the field. GU senior Claire Raap added a career-high 17 points and Kelly Bowen had a team-best eight rebounds.

Louella Tomlinson had 15 points and five assists for the Gaels (12-9, 4-2).

Portland State 77, Eastern Washington 70: Courtney VanBrocklin scored 21 points and the Vikings (10-9, 3-3 Big Sky Conference) overcame a 19-point deficit to defeat the visiting Eagles (8-10, 4-2) at Stott Center in Portland.

Kelli Valentine (Mead High) added 10 points and Lexi Bishop (Shadle Park) had five rebounds for PSU, which shot 6 of 10 on 3-pointers and 17 of 21 from the line in the second half.

Brianne Ryan led EWU with 19 points and four assists. Carrie Ojeda and Julie Piper combined for 23 rebounds for the Eagles, who shot 8 of 35 from the floor in the second half.

Louisiana Tech 63, Idaho 56: Adrienne Johnson scored 24 points, hitting 11 of 18 from the field, and added 10 rebounds as the Lady Techsters (14-5, 6-0 Western Athletic Conference) defeated the host Vandals (10-8, 3-3) at Cowan Spectrum.

Yinka Olorunnife led the Vandals with 15 points and 12 rebounds.

Idaho shot 32 percent from the field in the second half.
