Missing Boundary County hikers located
Two hikers who went missing in northern Boundary County have been located and are safe and unharmed.
Melody Braden and Raymond Sayers, both 22, were found in the area that friends, family and rescuers were scouring.
The two were reported missing late Friday night after failing to return from a hiking trip in the Pyramid Lakes/Trout Creek area, according to a Boundary County Sheriff’s Office news release.
At about midnight, a family member confirmed their vehicle was still at the trailhead and a search began at first light this morning, the news release said.
The Boundary County Sheriff’s Office coordinated a search with sheriff’s deputies, sheriff’s posse, Boundary County Search and Dive Rescue, U.S. Forest Service and the U.S. Border Patrol, the news release said.
