Slow traffic expected on I-90 westbound at Stateline

Westbound traffic on Interstate 90 at the Washington Stateline Port of Entry will be reduced to one lane starting at 7 p.m. today through as late as Monday morning to allow for paving. The lane closure will provide workers with room to pave the new access lanes for the port weigh station. The closure, set to begin at 7 p.m., will be in effect 24 hours a day until the work is finished. The Washington Department of Transportation warned drivers that the closure could cause delays or traffic stoppage and that they might consider taking an alternate route. In the eastbound lanes, slowdowns are occurring this afternoon at Sullivan Road as a result of repair to construction lanes. Also, traffic is backed up approaching the U.S. Highway 2 interchange southwest of the Sunset Hill due to a one-lane restriction at Abbott Road.
