Cline keeps license current not knowing what future will bring

I was so sad when I saw Thursday’s Valley Voice (Oct. 6) with the glaring headline and article about my mother-in-law, Marilyn Cline.  I’m appalled with the lengths some supporters of candidates will do or say to make themselves important and get their candidate elected.  No wonder decent people do not want to run for office!

I am so proud of her.  She is a dedicated wife, a mother, a grandmother and a member of this Valley for her entire life.  Her family homesteaded here.  She has given so much to this community, especially years of volunteering for SCOPE to help all of us be safe.  She is so special and as a person of deep faith, she will continue to hold her head high even with a neighbor’s mud-slinging politics. Thank you.

Marilyn’s license is active because in a bad economy and never knowing what the future could bring, she may need to return to work.  I think that’s being practical and careful.
