Obituary: Boman, Mavin William

BOMAN, Mavin William
(Age 89)

Mavin was born February 25, 1923 in Cornish, Utah to Milton and Mozell (Pitcher) Boman.


Mavin served his country in WWII in August of 1944.

He was in the 8th Armored Division, in Nancy, France.

He fought in Luxembourg, Holland and Central Germany - part of “Battle of the Bulge”.

Mavin received a Purple Heart, Bronze Star and the Combat Badge.
Mavin married Mamie Goodwin Reese in Logan, Utah in 1949.

She had two sons, Phillip (deceased) and John.

Mavin and Mamie had two children, Steve and Mollie to add to the family.

They also have a granddaughter, Sarah, and great grandson, Kolby.
They had a dairy ranch in Careywood, Idaho and he worked for WWP as a meter reader.

Mavin was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints - Hayden, American Legion-Coeur d’ Alene, and a member of Eagles Lodge - Hayden, ID.


Graveside Services will be held at the Forest Cemetery in Coeur d’ Alene, April 30th, 2012, at 11:00am.
