SHANNON, Judy Kay (Atwood)
Judy was born in Spokane, WA August 11, 1947 to Floyd and Marjorie Atwood and passed away July 18, 2012, peacefully into the loving arms of her Savior Jesus Christ, knowing that she was surrounded by her loved ones, sons, family, friends and extended family members of the Northwest Family Church of Auburn. Judy fought a long and courageous four-year battle with cancer.

Judy was born in Spokane, WA August 11, 1947 to Floyd and Marjorie Atwood and passed away July 18, 2012, peacefully into the loving arms of her Savior Jesus Christ, knowing that she was surrounded by her loved ones, sons, family, friends and extended family members of the Northwest Family Church of Auburn. Judy fought a long and courageous four-year battle with cancer.
Judy was married to Roger Froman and had four wonderful and caring sons, Stuart, Mathew, Wesley and Kevin. She later divorced Roger and married Steve Shannon. Floyd, her father, and husband, Steve, preceded her in death. Judy attended Stevens Elementary and North Central High School, where she graduated in 1965 on the Honor Roll, Color Guard and as a reporter for the school newspaper. She worked until June of this year in Des Moines, WA as an office manager and accountant.
Words cannot begin to convey the depth of Judy’s ability to touch the hearts of her family and friends with the unconditional love that she had always shown. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
She leaves behind her sons, Stuart (Carmen), Tustin, CA, Mathew (Sa), Auburn, WA, Wesley, Portland, OR and Kevin, Des Moines, WA; mother Marjorie, Spokane, WA; brothers, Floyd (Ginette), Laguna Niguel, CA, Daryl (Kristine), Spokane, WA; sister, Patricia (Shelby), Pensacola, FL; grandchildren, who made her most proud, Milana, Johnathan, Cody, Max, Carlos, Roberto, Javier; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles.
A celebration of her life will be held on Saturday, August 11, 2012 at 1:00 pm at Fairmount Memorial Park, Spokane, Washington. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that a donation be made to the American Cancer Society in her honor.
