Celtic service planned

St. David’s Episcopal Church, 7315 N. Wall St., will present a Celtic Communion service today at 7 p.m.

The theme for this service will be “Music for the Journey” and includes music by Brett and Janet Dodd. There will be sung chants, Celtic prayers and a special reading by John O’Donohue. A potluck snack reception will follow the service.

Seminars

St. Aloysius Parish Center, 330 E. Boone Ave., will present Coping With Being Alone Again for those who have experienced a separation, divorce or death of a loved one, on Thursdays from Sept. 6 through Oct. 11, 7 to 9 p.m.

Crossover Church, 16825 N. Newport Highway, will present a Parent Summit on Friday at 6 p.m. The keynoter will be author Tim Elmore. The summit will offer ideas on how to parent with a biblical worldview.

Workshops include how to discuss cultural views of sex and marriage and how to raise spiritual leaders.
