Three arrested in paintball gun shootings

From staff reports
Three teens face felony charges after going on a drive-by paintball shooting rampage Wednesday, according to Spokane police. According to police, the alleged assailants, Robert D. Lee, 18, Kainoa A. Adams, 19, and Samuel D. Salsbury, 19, shot at least five pedestrians with paintballs, but there could be more victims. Police received multiple reports Wednesday afternoon of a truck driving up to pedestrians at north Spokane locations, including the Shadle and Hillyard neighborhoods, and shooting them. Officers stopped the vehicle near 2200 E. Queen Street and arrested the three suspects. The officers found a paintball gun and a large amount of paintballs in the car. At least one victim received medical treatment for his injuries, according to police. The trio was booked into Spokane County Jail for several counts of third-degree assault. Police believe there are additional victims and are asking anyone who was shot with paintballs Wednesday but not interviewed by police to call Crime Check at 456-2233.
