December 8, 1970 -” January 29, 2012

Will be missed by his family, Joshua and Sarah Bibby, Ezekiel and Krista Bibby, Jenna and David Carroll, niece Bella Bibby, Uncle and Aunt James and Judith Gilmore and by his many friends.
Derek graduate from Cal State Bakersfield in 1993.

He then worked for Spokane County and at Eastern Washington University.

He became a certified public accountant in 1997 a feat of which he was most proud.
He moved to Florence, Oregon in 2007 and became the Siuslaw School District Business manager.

Superintendent Jeff Davis said of Derek, ” He was a little man with a big heart, he brought tremendous skills to his position and will be greatly missed.

“
In Florence he met the love of his life Darby Conner and with her two sons and his bulldog, Snickers, they created a loving home.
There will be a memorial service this summer at the family home to lift a round in Derek’s memory and talk Dallas Cowboy football, a team he loved passionately.
