GSL roundup: Shadle Park girls basketball team wins
Aleisha Hathaway and Paige Reidt scored 12 points apiece and the Shadle Park girls basketball team started strong and cruised past Rogers 59-27 in Greater Spokane League action Saturday night at Shadle Park.
The Highlanders jumped ahead 14-6 in the first quarter and took a 13-point lead into halftime. A 14-3 third-quarter run put the game away.
Talia Felice and Mercedes Slawter scored six points apiece for the Pirates.
The win was the Highlanders’ third in a row after dropping four of five from Dec. 9 to Dec. 20. They beat Ferris on Jan. 3 and North Central on Friday.
Shadle Park improved to 6-4 overall and 5-3 in the GSL. Rogers fell to 1-8 and 0-8. The Highlanders play at Mead on Tuesday, while Rogers plays at Ferris.
