Classes start next week at Corbin Art Center

New classes are starting next week at Corbin Art Center.

The Spokane Parks and Recreation Department is offering programs for children and adults on such topics as painting, art history and sewing. All classes are held at the center, 507 W. Seventh Ave.

Adult classes

• Art History, seven-week course, begins Monday, 6:30-8:30 p.m., $60

• Drawing on the Right Side, six-week course, begins Monday, 1-3 p.m., $55

• Writing Fiction for Teens and Adults, four-week course, begins Monday, 6-9 p.m., $54

• Portrait Photography Workshop, Monday, 6-8 p.m., $15

• Sewing for Beginners, five-week course, begins Tuesday, 6:30-8:30 p.m., $49

• Painting with Oils, six-week course, begins Wednesday, noon-3 p.m., $79

• Painting in Acrylics for Beginners, seven-week course, begins Thursday, 6:30-8:30 p.m., $72

Childrens classes

• Grandma and Me Make Art, ages 3-5, six-week course, Mondays, starting Jan. 23, 10:30-11:30 a.m. for 6 weeks, $45

• Sewing Basics, ages 9-13, five-week course, Tuesdays, staring Jan. 24, 4-5:30 p.m., $35

• Enchanted Theater, ages 3-5, six-week program, Wednesdays, starting Jan. 25, 10:30-11:30 a.m., $45

• Mom & Me: Animal Adventure, ages 2-3, six-week program, Thursdays, starting Jan. 26, 9:30-10:30 a.m., $45
