Baldwin marries fiancee in NYC

Alec Baldwin and his yoga instructor fiancee have tied the knot in a New York City church.

The 54-year-old Baldwin and 28-year-old Hilaria Thomas married Saturday evening at St. Patrick’s Old Cathedral. Baldwin’s friend and publicist said the “30 Rock” star warmly received congratulations from well-wishing fans.

The two began dating last year. Baldwin previously was married to actress Kim Basinger; they have a daughter, Ireland, who attended the wedding.

Slew of stars receive academy invite

The Oscar-winning and nominated stars of “The Artist” and “The Help” have been invited to join the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences.

The film academy announced its roster of potential new members Friday. It includes best actor winner Jean Dujardin and supporting actress Octavia Spencer, along with nominees Berenice Bejo and Jessica Chastain.

Oscar-nominated “Bridesmaids” star Melissa McCarthy, “Albert Nobbs” supporting actress Janet McTeer, “A Better Life” star Demian Bichir and best director winner Michel Hazanavicius are also among the 176 moviemaking professionals asked to become academy members.

Other actors on the list include Matthew McConaughey, Bryan Cranston, Kerry Washington, Jonah Hill and Andy Serkis.

More ‘Dallas’ episodes to come in 2013

The Ewings are forever battling each other, and viewers clearly love them.

TNT network says “Dallas” has been renewed for a 15-episode second season. The network announced Friday it will air in 2013.

Following the lives of J.R., Bobby and Sue Ellen Ewing, as well as the rest of the fractious clan, “Dallas” was revived after decades off the air. It is averaging 6.9 million viewers.

“Dallas” brings back original cast members Larry Hagman, Patrick Duffy and Linda Gray, who are joined by Southfork newcomers including Josh Henderson, Jesse Metcalfe, Jordana Brewster and Julie Gonzalo.

The series was initially broadcast by CBS from 1978 to 1991.
