Huskies, Williams see season end

PACIFIC PALISADES, Calif. - The University of Washington men’s golf team had its season end with a 5-0 loss to Texas in the quarterfinals of match play at the NCAA championships on Friday at Riviera Country Club.

The Longhorns won three matches and were leading in the other two when Texas clinched the win.

Chris Williams of Moscow, Idaho, was down 2 and 1 to Julio Vegas on the 18th hole when word came that Texas had won the match.
