DRAISKER, Hildred Virginia
(Drewry)

Was born on November 27, 1921, the youngest daughter of James and Bertha Drewry, in Des Arc, Arkansas.

She grew up in Des Arc and worked as a dental assistant in Little Rock, Arkansas.

She is preceded in death by her husband of 51 years, Joseph O. Draisker.

They were lifelong residents of Spokane, Washington, having moved there after marriage in 1946.

Her older sister, also deceased, Agnes Hughes, was also a lifelong resident of Spokane.

Mrs. Draisker is survived by her only daughter, Margo Draisker Stevenson, and her son-in-law, Dr. Bruce Stevenson of Woodinville.

She is also survived by her granddaughter, Ms. Brita Stevenson of Aspen, Colorado and her grandson, Dr. Dane Stevenson of Sacramento, California.

She is also survived by two cousins, Jean Hadsell and Sue Moore, both of Texas.
Mrs.

Draisker was a member of St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in north Spokane and, in later years, a member of St. Charles Catholic Church in Spokane and she belonged to the women’s guild there.

She retired from work in the Admissions Office at Holy Family Hospital in Spokane.
After her husband’s death in 1997 she continued to take multiple annual trips to Las Vegas, a tradition she began with her husband.

She had a passion for playing slot machines, the Bellagio Hotel, and fine dining.

She was an avid reader and loved walking her dog, Oscar, who unfortunately preceded her in death nearly two years ago.

She moved to Woodinville nearly three years ago to be closer to her family.

Among her family and friends, “Nanna” will be dearly missed.
Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at Blessed Theresa of Calcutta Catholic Church in Woodinville.

Graveside services and entombment will be Wednesday, June 13, at 11:00 a.m. at Holy Cross Cemetery Mausoleum.
