He was born June 25, 1954 in Spokane to Richard W. and Dorothy Jane (LaTraille) Dennis.
He was raised in Spokane and worked at Fairmount Memorial Park for 17 years and most recently at Fairchild Air Force Base with SkilsKin as grounds maintenance for the last 12 years.
Leonard was with Deborah Samuels for 40 years.
He is a member of Trurtle Mountain Band of Chippewa Indians.
He is survived by daughters Diane Samuels and Stephane Parker; son-in-law Rome Robnett; grandchildren Kayla, Brandon, Austin, Garrett, Wyatt, Dakota and Raeanna; great-grandsons Bryant and a new great-grandson on his birthday; brother Mike Dennis; sister Audrey Dennis; the most important mother-in-law Carolyn Samuels; numerous cousins; nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife Deborah Samuels; son Ray P. (Butch) Dennis; sister Diane Dennis; brothers Ricky and Ray Dennis; sisters-in-law Donna Samuels and Kathy Samuels; nephews Kenny and Jacque and father-in-law Milt.
Visitation will be 8AM-5PM at Heritage on Friday and Funeral Service 2PM Saturday June 23rd at Heritage Chapel.
