Church on the Lawn - Central Baptist Church, 19 W. Shannon Ave., will have a 10 a.m. Sunday service focusing on finding peace amid terrifying times. The Rev. Rick Church’s message will be, “Surprised by Peace when Your Boat Gets Swamped.” A free barbecue for the neighborhood will follow the service at 11:30 a.m. (509) 327-9322.

Taize service - Latah Valley Presbyterian Church, 202 E. Meadowlane Road, will present a Taize service Sunday at 7 p.m. The service will follow the traditional structure from the Iona community on the coast of Scotland and the Taize community in France. Community dinner - Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, 2511 S. Pines Road, will host its monthly free community dinner at 6 p.m. Tuesday. Those planning to attend are asked to RSVP by noon Tuesday. (509) 926-9766

Assurance - Women’s trio from Heartland Baptist Bible College in Oklahoma, will perform in concert at 7 p.m. Wednesday at Bible Baptist Church, 11111 E. 16th Ave. Admission is free, and the public is welcome to attend.

The Friendship Adventure Vacation Bible School at CMUC

Now registering kids in grades 1-5 for the camp July 9-13 from 9 a.m.–noon at Community United Methodist Church, 1470 W. Hanley Ave., Coeur d’Alene.
