Championship

Led by Brandon Gfeller, the Bulldogs upset the defending champion Crusaders in the 2B title game.

Gfeller scored 10 of his 13 points in the first half and held Northwest Christian star Kwinn Hanson scoreless after halftime. Gfeller’s 3-pointer at the shot-clock buzzer with 3:15 left to play sparked the Bulldogs’ 11-0 run to end the game.

Justin Berarducci scored a game-high 15 points – nine coming in the third quarter – for Colfax.

Toutle Lake 48, Adna 45

After a sluggish start, the Ducks stole the momentum in the second half and beat the Pirates to claim third place.

Nothing went right for Toutle Lake in the first half as the Ducks fell behind by 14 points halfway through the second quarter. They trailed 23-11 at halftime.

Everything changed in the second half. Toutle Lake made 10 of 23 second-half shots, including 13 of 16 from the free-throw line.

Adna had a chance to tie it, but Garrett Driver’s desperation 3-pointer at the buzzer was off the mark.

Jeremy Fuller had 13 points and Zack Hayes added 12 points and eight rebounds for Toutle Lake.

The Pirates got a game-high 15 points and 10 rebounds from Nate Trotter. Adna finished in fifth place.

John Chambers hit a 3-pointer 4 seconds into the game, and it was a sign of things to come for the Mules.

Wahkiakum built an 11-point first-quarter lead and cruised past the Bulldogs to take fourth place.

Chambers hit another 3-pointer 15 seconds into the second half to get the Mules going after halftime. Wyatt Parker finished with 11 points and eight rebounds, and Chambers scored 11 points for Wahkiakum.

Garett Turner tallied a game-high 13 points for Dayton, which took sixth place.

The Indians rallied in the second half and overcame early-game foul trouble to claim their second straight 2B title.

Katy Burge’s jumper with just less than 4 minutes left sparked Reardan’s 9-0 run to end the game. Reardan’s Chantel Heath scored 22 points.

The Pirates gained control early in the first half and held on to beat the Cougars in the third-place game.

Dani Grosshans scored 24 points – 14 coming in the second half – for Adna, which led by 14 points at halftime.

White Swan came within five points early in the fourth quarter, but the Pirates regained control and pulled away.

The Cougars’ Amber Jones scored 13 of her 19 points in the second half.

Sami Jo Robinson and Alissa Brooks-Johnson scored 17 points apiece and the Trojans took control in the third quarter and beat the Crusaders for fourth place.

Brooks-Johnson added 12 points for Pe Ell, which outscored Riverside Christian 13-3 in the third quarter.

The Crusaders rallied in the fourth, but their comeback attempt came up short. Madison Roberts had 11 points and Kendra Staymates added 10 points and a game-high 13 rebounds for Riverside Christian, which took sixth place.
