Obituary: Fetcho, Phyllis Lorraine

FETCHO, Phyllis Lorraine (Elliott)
83 Years of Life

A resident of Spokane, Washington, formerly of Elk, WA, passed away on Saturday, March 3, 2012.

Phyllis is the dear wife of Myron G. “Bud” Fetcho, married 64 years, and the loving mother and mother-in-law of Michael and Gayle Fetcho and Craig and Shellie Fetcho of Spokane, and Nickie and Ted Caldwell of Elk, WA.

She enjoyed eight grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.

Born in 1928 at Colfax, WA, Phyllis attended the Colfax Grade School and graduated from Riverside High School, Class of 1946, and was briefly employed as a telephone operator.

She was a founder and longtime member of the Elk Homemakers, Elk Congregational Church, and served as President of the Elk Grade School P.T.A.

Her love was being a gardener, collecting dolls, and serving many, many dinners at the Elk Church.

While Phyllis and Bud lived in Camelot, she was known as the “Cookie Lady.”

A special thank-you is extended by Phyllis’ family to the wonderful and compassionate care at the Evergreen Unit at Royal Park Care Center given to Phyllis.

Funeral Services honoring Mrs. Fetcho will be at 11:00 A.M., Wednesday, March 14, 2012, at the Peaceful Valley Church on Allen Road in Elk with Pastor Jim Trull officiating followed with a reception at the church.

Private interment in Elk Cemetery #1 will precede the service.
