“Pete”
Pete was born in Spokane, WA on July 27, 1920.
He graduated from North Central High School in 1937.
Pete and Virginia R. Clarke married August 16, 1942 and have been lifelong residents of Spokane.
Pete was a veteran of WWII having served in the Army in the Philippines.
Columbia Lighting was his place of employment for 38 years and then he had his own business Peterson Sales.
His favorite past times were fishing for the big ones or playing golf at Wandermere and the Spokane Country Club.
Pete is survived by his wife of 69 years Virginia R. Peterson; daughter Barbara A. Ray; son-in-law Mark J. Ray Sr.; grandchildren Mark J. Ray Jr., Michael K. Ray, Matthew P. Ray, Jennifer M. Amistoso, Bartley S. Peterson, Stacey E.
Peterson.
; as well as nine great-grandchildren.
Pete was preceded in death by his son H. Scott Peterson in 2010; mother Eva Marie Hoering; and father Charles Edgar Peterson.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Ronald McDonald House of Spokane.
