Religion Notes: Church offers free family fun night

Central United Methodist Church, 518 W. Third Ave., will present a family fun night at 6 p.m. Saturday.

The evening will feature games, refreshments, a silent auction and karaoke. The event will raise funds for Central United Methodist Women and their work supporting women and children around the world.

Admission is free, but reservations are requested. Attendees can make a donation for the silent auction or can bring a finger food or dessert for the occasion.

St. Patrick’s service

St. David’s Episcopal Church, 7315 N. Wall St., will present a service to celebrate the life of St. Patrick of Ireland today at 7 p.m.

The service will include Communion, Celtic prayers and music.

A potluck reception will follow the service.

FourGiven concert

Northwood Presbyterian Church, 6721 N. Monroe St., will present the band FourGiven on Friday at 7 p.m.

FourGiven is a local gospel band, and the concert is free.

Lenten events

Central Baptist Church, 19 W. Shannon Ave., will present a Lenten soup supper, “Our Story and God’s Story,” Wednesday at 6 p.m.

Attendees can share stories of their own spiritual journeys.

Volunteer opportunity

Catholic Charities Spokane, 12 E. Fifth Ave., will host a volunteer information session Tuesday from 10 to 11:15 a.m.

The sessions will include tours of the facility and information about its many programs, including Bernadette Place, Catholic Campaign for Human Development, Catholic Relief Services, Childbirth and Parenting Alone Program, Christmas Bureau, counseling, House of Charity, Parish Social Ministry, Refugee and Immigration Services, regional offices, Respect Life, St. Anne’s Children and Family Center, St. Margaret’s Shelter, Senior and Family Housing and Senior Services.

Singles groups

Christian Singles Fellowship will meet at 7 p.m. Saturday in the fellowship hall of North Addison Baptist Church, 6120 N. Addison St.

This month’s meeting will feature gospel bluegrass music from Molly and Tenbrooks. It will also include information about other activities the group will hold next month.
