Age 96

MORTON, Maryadell

Born March 2, 1916 in Spokane; passed away May 11, 2012.

Preceded in death by her parents Horace and Mary Banta, her husband Robert “Bob” Morton, brothers Dean and James Banta.

Survived by her sister Jeanne Batson; sons R.J. “Jim” Morton (Georgia), Dave Morton (Judy); grandsons Doug Morton (Zena), Clint Morton (Shana); granddaughters Debbie Lahue (Ron), Jill Donovan (Richard); great-grandchildren Kendra and Ty Lahue, Taylor, Mac and Garrett Morton, Ronan Donovan, Jase and Trev Morton.
She lived in the Spokane Valley most of her life graduating from West Valley High School in 1934.

In 1934 she won the first Queen of the Valley (Spokane) contest.

Maryadell and Bob Morton were married in Millwood in 1938.

Maryadell worked at Park Road IGA from 1955 until retirement in 1978.

Her hobbies included sewing, baking, outdoor activities and being with family.
A gathering for family and friends will be held June 10th from 1pm to 3pm at the Millwood Town Hall.
