That’s News to you answers

Here are the answers to this week’s newspaper edition of That’s News to You:

1. E. The event was called the Plane Pull, and it involved a challenge to be the fastest to move a 138,400-pound Boeing 727 airplane 12 feet at Spokane International Airport.

2. B. Apollo 11 was the first mission that landed on the moon.

3. A. The sculptures, by local artist Roger Ralston, were attached to poles on the Freya Street Bridge. City officials were worried they were swaying too much.

4. C. Chief Wayne Longo announced patrol officers will be wearing body cameras to provide video and audio for court cases as well as supervisors. Some city forces in the Inland Northwest already have body cameras, but the Spokane Police Department does not.

5. D. Olson will compete in the 50-meter prone marksmanship event. He remains in the Army as a marksmanship instructor and is the first active-duty U.S. soldier to compete in the Paralympics.
