Obituary: Raney, Frank

Age 70

RANEY, Frank
(Age 70)

Beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend…

Frank Raney passed away suddenly Sept 14, 2012 with his wife Peggy by his side.

Born January 20th, 1942, Frank was the son of Dennis and Junice, whom he joined in heaven along with his granddaughter, Grace.

A devoted Catholic, he attended St. Aloysius, Gonzaga Prep and Gonzaga University where he earned his MBA.

After serving his country in Vietnam, Frank worked for Kaiser Aluminum and retired in 2008 as plant manager for Carlisle Tire and Wheel.

Frank never met a book he didn’t like.

He loved to tell a good joke, play bridge and listen to financial news.

He enjoyed walking his dog Lucy, meeting up with friends at Jack and Dan’s, and serving on the Liberty Lake Planning Commission.

Nothing made Frank happier than spending time with his family, watching his grandkids grow, telling stories, and having a glass of wine.

He is survived by his devoted wife of forty-three years, Peggy, four children, Geoff, Sarah (Joe) Hamilton, Melinda (Art) Spigel, and Ashley (Blake) Stepp, his five grandchildren, Sydney, Katie, Michael, Max, Levi (and was looking forward to the birth of his granddaughter), his brother Jack, and sisters Mary Jean Weigand, Geraldine Kubinski and Kathleen Sullivan.
