Wine dinner at Europa Sept. 26 with Noble Wines

From Staff Reports

Europa chef Jeff Engels and Mike Scott of Noble Wines are teaming up for a wine dinner at the restaurant on Sept. 26.

The French-inspired dinner will feature five courses starting with pheasant breast with caramelized fennel and an apricot jus. It will be followed by veal sweetbreads with a cherry arugula rotolo and then venison with sautéed leeks and Brussels sprouts. The fourth course is beef rib eye with duck liver port pan sauce and dauphinoise potatoes. The meal concludes with a chocolate dessert made by pastry chef Christine Sutton.

The dinner is $55 per person and includes wine pairings and commentary by Scott, who was previously the winemaker at Spokane’s Lone Canary Winery. It begins at 6 p.m. at Europa, 125 S. Wall St.

For more information, or to make reservations, call Europa at (509) 455-4051.
