Obituary: Butterfield, Alfred (Al)

Age 80

BUTTERFIELD, Alfred (Al) Was born to Edwin and Opal Butterfield on December 19, 1932 in Porter, WA.

He passed away peacefully on March 28, 2013 at his home surrounded by family after a courageous battle with cancer.

Al was born and raised in Elma, WA, he joined the Navy after graduating high school and married the love of his life Eunice.

After the Navy he went on to have a successful career in banking until retiring in 1990.

He was a Past Master of St. Andrews Lodge #35 a Past Patron of Nesika Chapter #54 in Renton, WA and a member of the Scottish Rite in Seattle, WA.

He was a Past Grand Patron of the Grand Chapter of Washington, Order of the Eastern Star from 2004-2005.

Al was an avid golfer and always looking for a good round, he was very proud of his three holes in one and one eagle.

He was a wonderful kind man who loved being with his family and friends, always a smile on his face and a great sense of humor.

He was preceded in death by his parents and brother Delbert.

Al is survived by his wife Eunice of 59 years and two sons, Steve and Don (wife Andrea), one grandson, four granddaughters and two great granddaughters, brothers Cecil and Charles (wife Charlene), brother in law Bruce and sister in law Judie.
