Obituary: Heiller, Pearl Lily (Nielsen)
Age 96
Pearl was born February 7, 1917 to Peter and Augusta Nielsen in Spokane, Washington.
She attended Great Northern Grade School and graduated from Lewis and Clark High School in 1935.
She was preceded in death by her husband Fain, sisters Gene Mader, Ann Mader, Ella Kvilhaugh, Alice Peirone and a brother Louie Nielsen.
She met and married her husband Fain in 1942 and moved to Bremerton, Washington.
While in Bremerton one of their favorite pastimes was to Salmon fish and harvest clams and oysters.
She and her husband returned to Spokane in 1946 and she worked for JJ Newberry Co. for 14 years.
In 1965, they moved back to Seattle, an area that they truly loved, and returned to Spokane again in 1972 to be closer to family and to care for her husband Fain who had been diagnosed with cancer.
She enjoyed going on trips and spending time with Alice and Joe (Peirone).
In her sister Ella’s later years, Pearl became her cargiver until her death and continued to live in Ella’s home until April 2008.
Then she moved to an assisted living facility to be with her sister Alice.
She is survived by her niece Jeanne McGregor and nephew Jim Peirone and many other family and friends.
The family would like to thank the staff at Bella Vita and Hospice of Spokane for all their wonderful care in the last days of her life.

A viewing will be held on Monday, April 8th from 12:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. A Memorial service will be Tuesday, April 9th at 10:30 a.m. at Hennessey-Smith Funeral Home on North Division.
Burial will be at Riverside Cemetery.
