Sounders seek first MLS win

Joshua Mayers Seattle Times

TUKWILA, Wash. – The Seattle Sounders are seeking their first win in an MLS game this season, and if history is any indication, it could come this afternoon.

The Sounders play Colorado today in Commerce City, Colo., and Seattle has won six in a row against the Rapids dating to 2010.

“We know the reality of the situation and where we’re at, and we obviously don’t think that we’re a 0-3-2 team,” Sounders midfielder Brad Evans said. “We have played some good soccer.”

While player health is improving – the Sounders had full participation in practice the past two days – the schedule is getting more difficult.

Today is the first of three consecutive road games, the longest stretch of the season, and includes lengthy trips to Eastern Conference teams Philadelphia and Kansas City at the start of May.
