Lind-Ritzville/Sprague rolls into State 2B title game
MOSES LAKE – After trading touchdowns with Adna in the first quarter, Lind-Ritzville/Sprague rattled off five consecutive scores and routed the perennial-power Pirates 56-13 in the semifinals of the State 2B football playoffs on Saturday.
It was the 25th consecutive win for the Broncos (12-0) and it earned them a return trip to the state title game.
The Broncos will play Morton-White Pass in a rematch of last year’s championship game.
Connor O’Neill ran for 129 yards and scored twice – one rushing and one receiving – to guide Lind-Ritzville/Sprague. Dylan Hartz threw two touchdown passes and returned a kickoff 83 yards for another score.
The loss snapped a nine-game winning streak for Adna (9-4).
Morton-White Pass (12-0) advanced with a 27-14 win over Raymond. The Timberwolves will be playing in their third straight title game.
Raymond finished 9-2.
Lind-Ritzville/Sprague rallied to beat Morton-White Pass 21-19 in the title game last year.
