Obituary: Linden, Ruth Josephine

Age 89

LINDEN, Ruth Josephine Was born October 8, 1924 in Valley, Washington to Helen and Joe Vogt and passed away in Spokane on December 18, 2013.

She is survived by her husband Victor, sons: Chris (Valorie) Linden, Nick (Martha) Linden and Steve (Desiree) Linden, granddaughter Ariel and great granddaughter Madison.

Her undaunting faith fulfilled her life.

She was a life long member of St. Aloysius church, served on the finance committee and was a member of the Ladies Altar Society for many years.

Her family built the current nativity scene at St. Aloysius and have erected the scene in the church for the holidays for over 60 years.

Ruth’s family was always in the forefront of her life even while she served as the receptionist and bookkeeper for the family business, Vic B. Linden & Sons Sign Advertising, Inc. Ruth was a very caring and spiritual person who cared for ill family members in her home or visiting them every night in the hospital.

She loved all animals and always was concerned for their welfare.

A Vigil service will be held at Hennessey-Smith,Thursday, December 26th, 2013 at 7:00pm, Funeral Mass at St. Aloysius, 330 E. Boone, on Friday, December 27th, 2013 at 10:00am.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Ruth’s name to the Spokane Humane Society or the American Cancer Society.
