Man accused of stealing pizza at gunpoint is jailed

Spokane Police have arrested a man they believe robbed a Domino’s Pizza deliveryman at gunpoint early on Dec. 23. Tredeone Winborne, 19, was arrested at a residence in the 3200 block of East Carlisle, police spokeswoman Monique Cotton said in a news release. Police were called just after midnight Dec. 23 after the Domino’s driver arrived at a home in the 3400 block of E. Marietta to deliver $84 in pizza, said Joshua Smith, manager of the Domino’s at 3031 E. Mission Ave. The driver was met by two men outside the home who robbed him at gunpoint. Smith said that the pizza order was called in for the vacant home late on Dec. 22. The men took the pizza and some cash. Smith said that Domino’s drivers never carry more than $20 in cash. “Domino’s takes many good safety precautions,” Smith said. The robbery was caught on camera by a security system on a nearby residence. Winborne was booked into the Spokane County Jail on a charge of first-degree robbery. Cotton said that detectives are asking that anyone with information on the identity of the second robber to call Crime Check at 459-2233.
