End of the line: Washington State Patrol Det. Larry McGill photographs blood stains and the truck’s interior during an investigation of a crime scene Thursday. A Washington State Patrol trooper tried to stop a man for running a red light about 2:30 a.m. near Francis Avenue and Division Street, but the man took off, according to WSP spokesman Trooper Troy Briggs. The chase ended in the front yard at 4724 N. Lacey St., where the driver crashed into the home. He also hit a vehicle in the intersection of Wellesley Avenue and Lacey, then a parked car and a tree. After crashing into the house, the driver fled on foot and ran into a home on Nelson Street. The man suffered minor injuries, and an unidentified female passenger suffered serious injuries, Briggs said. They were transported to a local hospital. Identities were not released. (Dan Pelle)
