In brief: Business association meeting will be Thursday

SPOKANE VALLEY – The Spokane Valley Business association will hold its monthly meeting at 7:30 a.m. Thursday at the Spokane Valley Fire Department Administration Building, 2120 N. Wilbur Road.

The featured speaker is Kathy Tarcon, chief operating officer of Providence Medical Group. Tarcon will speak about the new Providence Medical Park under construction in Spokane Valley.

Auditions open for ‘Odd Couple’ at Ignite!

SPOKANE VALLEY – Ignite! Community Theatre will host auditions for a female version of “The Odd Couple” Monday and Tuesday at 6:30 p.m. at Spokane Valley Partners, 10814 E. Broadway Ave. The director is seeking six women and two men in their 30s, 40s and 50s. Actors should be prepared to do cold readings from the script. The play is scheduled for Sept. 6-22.

Register for July 28 Valley Cycle Celebration

SPOKANE VALLEY – The registration deadline is approaching for the Spokane Valley Cycle Celebration on July 28.

Cyclists can choose a 10-mile family ride, a 25-mile ride or a 50-mile ride. All rides start at Mirabeau Park. The 50-mile ride will depart at 8 a.m. and go as far north at Peone Road and as far south as the Saltese Flats. The 25-mile ride will leave at 9 a.m. and follow Barker Road, Henry Road and Saltese Road. The family ride begins at 9:30 a.m. and follows a fairly flat route on the Centennial Trail and surface streets.

The cost is $10 per person or $20 for a family of four, which includes T-shirts. The registration deadline is July 14. Late registrations will be accepted, but a T-shirt is not guaranteed. Visit www.valleyfest.org to register.
