Obituary: Gow, Gary Lee

Age 74

GOW, Gary Lee Was born on February 18, 1939.

He passed peacefully on June 24, 2013 at his home in Spokane, Washington.

Gary was born on February 18, 1939 to John A. Gow and Bessie L. Gow in Spokane, Washington.

He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Albert Gow and Gerald Gow.

He is survived by his children, Dallas (Buddy) Gow, Leona Gow, Gary Douglas Gow; his brothers Pat Gow and Tom Gow; his grandchildren, Angie Palaniuk, Llea Kelly, Joshua Gow and Nathan Gow; great-grandchildren, Paityn Palaniuk and Connor Gow, as well as a blended family of granddaughters, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Gary has an aunt and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Gary was raised on a dairy farm in Elk, Washington.

He was a veteran in the Coast Guard, served in the Air National Guard and was a retired Spokane Police Detective.

He loved his family, his good friends and his animals more than anything in this world.

He enjoyed: politics, good jokes, wildlife, fishing and hunting.

He was active on the LEOFF1 retirement board and had served on the Board of Directors at the Spokane Law Enforcement Credit Union (SLECU).

Gary asked that no flowers be sent, instead any contributions be made to the Brian Orchard memorial fund that still exists today at SLECU.

Gary you will be loved and missed by many.

A memorial service will be held at Ball & Dodd, Saturday July 13, 2013 at 11:00 a.m.
