Obituary: Flees, Jerry A.

1942 - 2013 Jerry A. Flees was born December 15, 1942 in Melrose, New Mexico to R.A. and Inor Goddard.

Jerry passed away peacefully at Hospice House of Spokane June 28, 2013.

Jerry loved her family, cooking, traveling and the outdoors.

Jerry worked as a cook at the GTX Truck Stop in Spokane Valley as well as a bus driver for West Valley School District before moving to Mesa, Arizona for 17 years with her husband William Flees.

Jerry and William came back to Spokane to be with family in 2004.

Jerry was preceded in death by her husband William Flees (2013), her parents, brothers Joe and Herman Goddard, sisters Fay Jones and Janita Bonet, daughters Jackie, Janine and Karen Jorgenson, stepdaughter Susan Hurt, and stepson Michael Flees.

She is survived by her sister Maybelle Pool; stepdaughters Debbie Taggart (Ralph Dahman), Kathy Ader (Bill); stepson Gerald Flees (Dawn); along with numerous nieces, nephews, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Jerry will be greatly missed by all who knew her including her best friend Mimi (dog).

In lieu of flowers, please make donations in Jerry’s name to Hospice House of Spokane.

Memorial Service will be held at Pines Cemetery, 13126 E. 32nd Ave., Monday, July 15th, at 11:00 am, Reception will follow at the Flees Residence, 421 N. Dick Rd., Spokane, WA.
