Murder charge in Lake Stevens drive-by shooting

Associated Press
EVERETT, Wash. — Charges of first-degree murder and drive-by shooting were filed Thursday in Everett against a man accused of killing a 15-year-old Seattle girl as she walked along a road at Lake Stevens. Snohomish County prosecutors say 27-year-old Erick N. Walker of Marysville “exhibited extreme indifference to human life” the night of June 1 when he opened fire on a group of girls, killing Molly Conley. The Daily Herald reports Walker is also accused of firing bullets into four homes in Marysville and Lake Stevens. The Boeing worker was arrested June 28 and denied any involvement. He was initially charged in district court. He’s scheduled for arraignment Friday in Superior Court on the new charges.
