Summer reading program under way

Spokane Public Library’s summer reading program, Dig Into Reading, is already under way but it’s not too late for children and teens to sign up at local library branches.

Participating children receive a reading log at sign-up and when they’ve read 15 books, or 15 hours, they will receive a free book to keep.

Dig Into Reading also plans activities such as Taiko drumming demonstrations, special story times and presentations by staff from Mobius Science Center. For more information and for online sign-up forms visit www.spokanelibrary.org/ summer or call (509) 444-5331.
