No. 2 Indiana falls at home to Ohio State

Men’s college basketball: Deshaun Thomas and Aaron Craft scored nine of Ohio State’s points in a decisive 11-2 run, leading the 14th-ranked Buckeyes past No. 2 Indiana 67-58 on Tuesday night in Bloomington, Ind.

Thomas finished with 18 points and Craft added 15 as the Buckeyes (22-7, 12-5 Big Ten) won their fourth straight.

After clinching a share of its conference league title in 11 years with losses by Michigan State and Wisconsin on Sunday, the Hoosiers (25-5, 13-4) were trying to claim their first outright Big Ten crown since 1993. They will have another chance Sunday at No. 7 Michigan.

Curry scores 20 for Duke: Seth Curry scored 20 points in his final home game and No. 3 Duke (26-4, 13-4 ACC) pulled away to beat Virginia Tech 85-57 at Durham, N.C.

Kansas State tied for first: Angel Rodriguez had 21 points and 10 assists and Shane Southwell and Martavious Irving both added 15 points as No. 9 Kansas State (25-5, 14-3 Big 12) beat Texas Christian (10-20, 1-16) 79-68 at Manhattan, Kan.

The Wildcats are tied with No. 4 Kansas for first place in the Big 12 with one regular-season game to play.

Marquette rallies: Jamil Wilson scored all 10 of his points in the second half, including the late 3-pointer that put No. 15 Marquette (22-7, 13-4 Big East) ahead for good, and the Golden Eagles rallied for a 60-54 victory over Rutgers (13-15, 4-13) at Piscataway, N.Y.

Irish rout Red Storm: Jerian Grant had 21 points and eight assists and No. 24 Notre Dame (23-7, 11-6 Big East) held St. John’s (16-13, 8-9) to 18 percent shooting in the second half in a 66-40 victory at South Bend, Ind.

Westbrook powers Thunder over Lakers

NBA: Russell Westbrook had 37 points and 10 rebounds, Kevin Durant scored 26 and the host Oklahoma City Thunder held off a second-half charge to beat the Los Angeles Lakers 122-105.

Nuggets win streak at six: Ty Lawson poured in 24 points and Danilo Gallinari chipped in with 23 for the Denver Nuggets as they won their sixth straight game, defeating the Sacramento Kings 120-113 in Sacramento, Calif.

Pierce, Bradley lead Celtics: Paul Pierce had 18 points and 11 rebounds, and Avery Bradley scored 22 points to lead the visiting Boston Celtics to a 109-101 win over the Philadelphia 76ers.

Blackhawks roll to 10th straight win

NHL: The Chicago Blackhawks set a franchise record with their 10th consecutive victory and extended their points streak to 29 games with a 5-3 win against the visiting Minnesota Wild.

Bryan Bickell scored twice in the first period and Patrick Kane added a big goal in the third as Chicago (20-0-3) remained the only team in the NHL without a regulation loss.

Canucks continue slump: Scott Gomez and Adam Burish ended long goal droughts and Joe Pavelski scored the shootout winner as the San Jose Sharks defeated the host Vancouver Canucks 3-2.

Henrik Sedin and Jannik Hansen scored for Vancouver, which dropped to 3-5-2 in its past 10 games.

Real eliminates 10-man United

Miscellany: Cristiano Ronaldo scored the decisive goal in his return to Old Trafford, rallying Real Madrid over host Manchester United 2-1 and into the UEFA Champions League quarterfinals with a 3-2 aggregate victory.

The game turned when United’s Nani received a red card from Turkish referee Cuneyt Cakir in the 56th minute.

Ronaldo scored the game-winner in the 69th minute, getting past Rafael da Silva and sliding to tap in a cross from Gonzalo Higuain. Ronaldo, who did not celebrate on the field of his former club, reached 40 goals for the third consecutive season.

Dortmund downs Shaktar: In the night’s other UCL match, Borussia Dortmund defeated Ukraine’s Shaktar Donetsk 3-0 to advance on 5-2 aggregate, getting goals from Felipe Santana, Mario Goetze and Jakub Blaszczykowski.

Davis’ goal lifts Dynamo over Santos: Brad Davis scored in the 89th minute to give the host Houston Dynamo a 1-0 lead over Santos Laguna after the first leg of the CONCACAF Champions League quarterfinal series.

Wise wins halfpipe: David Wise of the United States has won his first halfpipe title at the world freestyle skiing championships.

Wise earned 96.2 points from his first run, leading a 1-2 American finish in Oslo, Norway. World Cup leader Torin Yater-Wallace followed with a first run of 95.6 and Thomas Krief of France was third.
