Obituary: Windon, Robert Edison “Bob”

Age 95

WINDON, Robert Edison “Bob” (Age 95) Bob was born in Salem, WV, on January 20, 1918, to Ralph and Esta (Ford) Windon.

He entered into rest on February 25, 2013.

Bob married Betty Jane Grisinger on January 17, 1942.

After their marriage, they lived in Cleveland, OH, for a short time until moving to Beaver Falls, PA, where they lived from 1943 to 1957 then moving to Carnegie, PA, in 1957.

They moved to Wilmington, NC, in 1983 when he retired.

Desiring to be close to their family, they moved to Spokane, WA, in July 2005.

Bob is survived by his daughters, Sandra (Ray) Schueler, Nine Mile Falls, WA, and Pamela Sue (Cliff) Stein, Miami, FL; grandchildren, Ken (Christine) Schueler, Nine Mile Falls, WA, Kathy (Cameron) Parker, Sammamish, WA, JoAnne Stein and Jonathan Stein, Miami, FL; great-grandchildren, Timothy and Thomas Schueler, Nine Mile Falls, WA, Kevin and Lauren Parker, Sammamish, WA; sisters-in-law, Fran Windon, Palm City, FL, and Velma Windon, Cary, NC.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 65 years, his parents, his brothers, Clifford and Ralph “Bus”, and a grandchild, Timothy Robert.

He retired from Ryerson Steel after 37 years of employment in 1982.

He was a member of Shriners International, Scottish Rite of Freemasonry, St. Clair Royal Arch Masons Chapter No.

300, and Parian Lodge No.

662 Free and Accepted Masons.

A memorial service will take place on Friday, March 15, 2013, at Rockwood at Hawthorne Retirement Community, 101 East Hawthorne Road, Spokane, WA 99218 at 4:30 PM.
